RISE OF POPULISM IN EUROPE

As a result of the ongoing migration and financial crisis, economic inequality and increasing disillusionment with the 'Establishment', Europe has seen the rise of right-wing populist and far-right parties. From Finland to the Netherlands and even Germany, a new wave of rightwing parties has emerged. They managed to come to power in Hungary and Poland, and they found an audience in many Western countries such as France or the Netherlands. Emboldened by Britain's decision to leave the EU and the election of Donald Trump, they now compete for power, threatening the existance of the political bloc. They are anti-immigrant, anti-establishment, eurosceptic and quite often racist groups and they are becoming more and more popular by every single election.
